Description of The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards Annual 2025/26

Every year the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) publishes its Awards Annual - an elegant book comprising detailed photography, in-depth interviews and articles inspired by its annual competition.

The 2025/26 Goldsmiths’ Competition comprised 35 competition sections and 18 other special, major and premier awards across 2D and 3D craft and design categories. This year’s Annual features high-quality photography of winners’ work across categories ranging from 2D design to 3D fine jewellery, diamond mounting, enamelling, silversmithing and lapidary.

Alongside documenting the winners, the Annual features articles and stories emerging from the Awards. Highlights of this year’s Annual include our ‘Where Are They Now?’ series, revisiting previous winners to celebrate how their careers have progressed since winning their awards and an in-depth interview with 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award winner Clive Burr, exploring his illustrious career as a master silversmith.

The Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council is a non-profit-making organisation founded over one hundred years ago to encourage, stimulate and promote the pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship and design amongst all those in the UK working in silversmithing, goldsmithing, jewellery and the allied crafts. The core of the Council’s work today is focused on the promotion of excellence through its prestigious annual craftsmanship and design Competition, Awards Ceremony and Exhibition that take place at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and Goldsmiths’ Hall.
