Matilde Mozzanega is a London-based jewellery designer from Milan whose practice explores the intersection of jewellery, wellness, healing and self-care. A graduate of Central Saint Martins (2018) and Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School, Florence (2019), her work combines traditional craftsmanship with conceptual storytelling, drawing on crystal symbolism, the psychology of belief and chromotherapy – the effect of colour on mood and wellbeing. Her collections have been exhibited internationally, including at Schmuck Munich (2019), Romanian Jewelry Week (2021), the launch of CHROMO-DOPE at Loggia Gallery, Munich (2022), NYC Jewelry Week (2023), and Selfridges London with Sarabande (2025). Her practice has received recognition through the Maison/0 LVMH Green Trail Award (2018), Autor Contemporary Jewellery Prize (2021), The One for the Future Award (2023), and the Goldsmiths' Centre Business Catalyst programme (2024–25). Alongside her practice, Matilde lectures at IED Milano and is workshop manager at Completedworks. She collaborates with digital artists, including ScorpionSorbet and x.machina.flora, and develops interdisciplinary projects spanning design, installation and contemporary culture.

Evolving from her debut collection Chromo-dope, Matilde continued her exploration of wellness and healing jewellery with Chromo-fine. This new collection was shaped by personal experiences during the pandemic while living with her family in Milan, then the epicentre of COVID-19 in Italy, where small acts of love and intention became a source of strength. These acts inspired her to translate these daily rituals into jewellery. Her years teaching jewellery making further reinforced creativity's ability to nurture confidence, connection and healing. Inspired by the #postyourpill movement and conversations around mental health, the collection draws on chromotherapy and crystal symbolism. Alongside its conceptual focus, it reimagines contemporary stone setting through futuristic forms, experimental techniques and innovative interchangeable mechanisms – wearers are invited to select the gemstone they feel most drawn to – with poetic prescription leaflets imagining each stone's qualities.  Rooted in Matilde's fascination with the placebo effect, jewellery becomes a talismanic reminder that the strength, courage and healing we seek may already exist within us.
