The NIBIRU Collection comprises a series of kinetic jewellery pieces, deeply influenced by sound art and kinetic art. The work explores themes of connection, distance, and movement: ‘Sound is a medium overcoming distance. By overcoming distance, we overcome difference.’ Each piece is named after a real star, symbolising an interconnected universe. Some pieces emit a gentle chime when worn, responding to the wearer’s movement and proximity. Through this interaction, Wenyin reimagines jewellery as a multisensory experience, bridging the physical and the emotional. Each piece is carefully handcrafted in her London studio, with precious metals and borosilicate glass forming the core of her work.
