Helena Palmeira is a Brazilian artist and designer based in London. She holds an MA in Design: Jewellery from Central Saint Martins and is a 2025–26 resident at the Sarabande Foundation. Her work has been exhibited at Collect Art Fair (2026) at Somerset House, London Design Festival (2025), where she received the Public’s Choice Award, and (re)Weaving Amazonia during London Climate Action Week (2025), amongst other events. In 2026, she was awarded the Sessùn Craft Prize and the University of the Arts London Creative Business Grant. Her practice explores materiality as a carrier of memory through sculptural jewellery and objects.

Helena’s Jarina collection explores Latin American materiality through sculptural jewellery that combines reclaimed native woods, Amazonian seeds, Brazilian stones, and precious metals. Inspired by themes of migration, memory, and emotional attachment, the work draws on the aesthetics of binding and packing as both a visual language and conceptual metaphor. Through processes of sculpting and wire work, the collection investigates how materials can preserve cultural narratives and challenge conventional perceptions of luxury by proposing a vision rooted in storytelling and material significance.
