Description of So, What Do You Do? A Writing Map for Makers and Craftspeople

This resource is designed to help makers and craftspeople write about their work. It provides a series of prompts that will support the user to build-up a body of text to be drawn on in a wide range of contexts.

When we tell the story of our work honestly and creatively, we help others connect to what we make and who we are. Whether you’re writing an artist statement, a website blurb, a social media post, or a funding application, the prompts on So, What Do You Do? will inspire you to be specific about your process of working, your history as a maker, and the ideas and passions that fuel your work.

The Writing Map has been created by writer Shaun Levin and the Goldsmiths' Centre's Public Programme Manager Charlotte Dew, based on their experience of working with makers to effectively express themselves and the unique nature of the work.

The £4.99 cost of the map includes postage and packing to UK addresses.
